Heather Gibson ArtsFind out more about me...
My name is Heather Gibson, and I was brought up in the small village of Gavinton which is near Duns in the rural Scottish Borders.
I am a self taught artist working mainly in watercolours and oils and I am a featured artist on the Daler Rowney website.
My work is inspired by the rural location of the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland .
Although I am inspired by the likes of Turner and Monet, I would describe my style as being quite loose and energetic, yet quite tranquil.
I love working with my hands, so along with painting my interests I also create various types of needlework, such as quilting and cross stitch, and I am also very interested in many other forms with craft work too.
